Not an amazing spread of food but the quality of the food was quite good. The smoked salmon specifically was really good.

I went for a concert and it was super close to the arena. The area was nice they had a lot of good places close by.

The size of our room was very comfortable for my family of 4. The beds were super comfortable. The staff was very friendly, courteous, prompt and hard-working. The hotel is centrally located which was very convenient.

I booked this room for my elderly parents from Japan. They loved the ambiance of the hotel -- the vibe was like an old fashioned glamour, and the room was comfortable. The staff was attentive and kind to my paretns.

    Sadly Union Squares gone so downhill, tbh it couldn't get much worse. So many empty shops. This wasn't for first trip to San Francisco, regrettably it will be our last. The change in the last six years is massive. We didn't feel particularly safe there, which wasn't helped by all the signs warning you. Our first night there must have been 100-150 motorbikes and Quads all racing down the Main Street, with loads of the bikes pulling wheelies, this wasn't an official organised event simply a load of bikers took it upon themselves. There was one police car with its lights flashing but nobody taking an ounce of notice.

    Close to a lot of nice cafes and shops. The staff in the subway are pretty touchy, and you have to get the clipper card to use public transport. The area going away from the wharf is quite seedy, like an open-air opium den with drug users injecting in public. Some of the cafes included taxes of ~$30USD, bringing out breakfast for 2 to $85. Better to ask ahead. Expensive place overall.

    It’s a beautiful area, but just be a little cautious about the amount of homeless people… sometimes these people can be harmful, just put up your radar and be wise !!! Dont matter which city you go to on this Earth you always have to be wise and make safety your number one priority!!!!

    I stayed alone for a conference. The last time I stayed at a different hotel and had very a dangerous experience. The conference center location is near Union Square which is a prime location for eating, shopping and touring. But there are a lot of homeless in the area. I liked that there was security at the facility and it was well lit at night. I liked that the staff was very helpful and friendly. They stored luggage safely. There is a parking garage and attendants. All the staff was exceptional.

    Location is excellent. Less than a block from union square and a few blocks away from Moscone Center. There's a bay wheels bike station right in front of the hotel which was super convenient. Powell St Bart station is a 5 min walk which made it for a super convenient commute to and from SFO. The building is old but well maintained. Room was small but had all the amenities I could think of/need. Bedsheets super soft, comfortable mattress and strong shower head water pressure.

    Lobby is charming and grandly old-fashioned. Staff at front desk very friendly. Love the old-style feel of the hotel hallways. I liked knowing there was a theater in the building. Great location in the midst of Union Square, always felt safe with lots of people around. Comfortable bed with lots of pillows.

    Location was decent, walkable to Union Square, Oracle Park, Fisherman's Wharf. Room was nice and it was clean and housekeeping was in everyday to make beds etc. Hotel has a fun eclectic vibe. Price was pretty good.

    Just an amazing hotel all around. This is the only place I will stay when coming to the city. The staff is incredible, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bar at the top floor is wonderful for appetizers and elevated cocktails. Not to mention you’re a short walk away from union square.

    I loved the hotel because my room was fantastic – a quiet spot at the end of the hall with a beautiful city view from the window and a cozy fireplace. Plus, the breakfast each morning was lovely, especially those amazing pastries! And the location was perfect, right near Union Square with easy walks to BART/Muni, making it simple to get all around the Bay Area.

    This is an older hotel but very well maintained. Nice sitting area in the lobby and very conveniently located to Union Square - about a five block walk partly uphill from the Montgomery station on BART. Street car runs right up Powell at the corner of Bush and Powell 50 meters from the hotel entrance. Room was spacious and comfortable. I didn't take the breakfast since there are so many good options within a couple of blocks with probably better coffee.
